The relationship between RSM and Terry Grimble is not a new one so don't act suprised. Over the past year or so even during Terry's time away from the industry as shop owner the ties have always remained intact. Terry and the former DUH! Skate Shop have always been instrumental in what we do with RSM and now more recently DaVille Skate Shop. Terry has been a friend of mine for close 18 years now. We have both been tied into the skate community longer than some of you have been alive.
So now people want to say RSM is choosing sides. That is dumb, this isn't a competition. There are only sides if someone decides to be small minded and creates an US versus THEM mentality. So I guess that would make those people responsible for any division in the skate community. That goes for haters too.Those people create the uneccessary drama and strife.
SO HERE IS RSM's VISION- First to have a vision or goals one must formulate what they are doing and where they are going. GOING is the key word here. We are not content to sit around and waste another year in limbo. Without change and forward momentum people and organizations become complacent and blah.
OUR VISION is to take skateboarding to those who want it. To use our skills to promote it. To get other kids excited about it. And to make it a positive thing. I have heard numerous people and Pro's say skateboarding saved thier life. On that note, there are dozens of Pro's out there who have a different salvation, one that come from a real relationship with Jesus Christ and they are vocal about it and live a very changed life.
THE GOSPEL of Jesus Christ is for everyone who choses to listen to it. RSM is also a ministry and we care about more than just skating. We care about the person, who they are and helping them figure out just who GOD created them to be. To find thier purpose in life.
